Nigel Savage

Java Virtual Machine language developer.
Started programming in Java when I found a copy of Enterprise Java Beans left on a coffee shop table. This led to Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object Oriented Software and the like.
Then came invokedynamic and the possibility of new languages running on the JVM like Scala. Enjoyed immensely learning Scala and contributing to some signal processing with Scala Breeze. An enthusiastic Kotlin learner. Finally getting comfortable with Kotlin.
Then came the GraalVM
Enjoying helping colleagues speed up their R and Python code on GraalVM.
