I wish to run a private Ethereum network using geth. The machine I am running geth on is connected to Internet. geth is launched using the following command line:

geth --datadir geth-data-dir --networkid 12345 --rpc --rpcaddr 127.0.0.1 console 2> geth.log

I hoped geth to bind its RPC endpoint only to localhost. However, it seems to bind to all the interfaces. I confirmed it using netcat:

$ netstat -an  | grep LISTEN | grep 30303
tcp6       0      0 :::30303                :::*                    LISTEN

Why is geth ignoring --rpcaddr switch?
