I am new to blockchain and smart contract as well. In smart contract we can only save the current state of any transaction but if we need to know the previously expunged transactional data ie, the record of who is now holding the asset in asset tracking system. Is there any RPC method to uniquely fetch the address to which the entity belongs? I want to understand how and where each account/node private data stored and being verified by other node and how the meta information about the asset properties being stored inside the blockchain system. Basically how each node is verifying the validity of the transaction.Though I know the concept of ledger but it will be helpful if you can explain in detail using asset tracking example.
