The privacy of the blockchain transaction is a high-demand topic these days due to some application use case requiring strict privacy protection. Some of the techniques applied to blockchain transactions by using a Cryptographic primitives such as zk-snark, on the other hand, produce a platform such as hawk's to write a private smart contract to protect the transactions.

My question is , does the unitized of the Cryptographic primitives on the transactions layer of the blockchain will remove the consensus algorithm e.g. Proof of work , and Proof-of-Stake ).
