Everything I’ve read about Ethereum thus far seems to state that light nodes are incapable of broadcasting/relaying/etc. transactions themselves. It is also my understanding that light nodes have still fully verified the blockchain, although they do not store it locally. I get that this limits the node’s ability to cope with blockchain reorganization, but shouldn’t light nodes still be able to verify transactions before broadcasting them, rather than relying on an RPC connection to a remote full node for this?

  • I'm also wondering this and finding little information about it online. – Albert Renshaw Nov 4 '19 at 15:33
