I tried to figure out how bad jump destination error occurs.

I found this topic

How to debug Bad jump destination error

and I tried to follow what that topic do.

However, after I deployed and tried to make bad jump destination, I've got revert instead.

  • Maybe I don't get your problem right, let me know if it is the case. The EVM bytecode contains a specific instruction to say if a point of a program is a suitable jump destination point, JUMPDEST. The EVM is designed to fail (i.e., revert) if you jump in a bad destination, i.e., in a destination not marked with JUMPDEST. – Briomkez Mar 30 at 9:08
