So I've set up a network with 10 nodes using Parity 1.10.4-20180514 stable.

Ubuntu 16.04 on AWS.

The node count says: 0 Active / 9 Connected

The genesis json is:

}
}

The network generates a new block every 30 seconds, as you can see, I'm using authorityRound engine with just one account, but if I send a transaction to the network, it ends up In queue: Future and is never mined.

Furthermore, every transaction I send goes out with the same NONCE, so it replaces older transactions.

local transaction queue

To set up the NONCE in the transaction I've tried two methods:

web3.eth.getTransactionCount(address, "pending", function(err, result))

and

'{"method":"parity_nextNonce","params":["' +address + '"],"id":1,"jsonrpc":"2.0"}'

To start the node, I'm using:

parity --chain "as.json" --nat extip:[IP] --jsonrpc-interface all --force-sealing --jsonrpc-cors all --ws-origins all  --ws-interface all --ui-interface all --jsonrpc-apis all --gasprice 0 --engine-signer 0x00e3ba4a4ea6482560db74659ca90b42237ba675 --password "[pass]"

So, I've got two problems, transactions won't get into blocks and the NONCE won't increment.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Do I have to start the node using --mine or it's not needed for authorityRound?
