I've found standard Mist wallet contract code, thanks to another answer.

I am trying to verify this contract over and over using different compiler versions but verification fails. Can somebody point me what am I doing wrong?

Summary

Your comparison will never work.

The compiled code at 0x01861C6Dfab20bAe0FA4EE698912630697D78cE4 is way too small to represent the compiled wallet.sol source code.

Why do you think the contract code at the address 0x01861C6Dfab20bAe0FA4EE698912630697D78cE4 is the wallet.sol compiled code?

Details

Compiled Code At Address 0x01861C6Dfab20bAe0FA4EE698912630697D78cE4

The contract code at 0x01861C6Dfab20bAe0FA4EE698912630697D78cE4 is:

0x3660008037602060003660003473273930d21e01ee25e4c219b63259d214872220a261235a5a03f21560015760206000f3

It is pretty small in comparison to the compiled code in the next section.

Compiled Source Code

I've compiled the source code from Mist wallet contract code with the --optimize flag and the size of the compiled code is:

user@Kumquat:~$ solc --optimize --bin-runtime wallet.sol | wc -c
12854

Without the --optimize flag, the size of the code is:

user@Kumquat:~$ solc --optimize --bin-runtime wallet.sol | wc -c
19632

The size of the wallet.sol compiled code is consistent with the number of lines of source code in the wallet.sol file.

  • That's the only version I was able to find. I'd be happy to know how to get the version I deployed almost in the very beginning – 21xhipster May 8 '16 at 18:47
  • Are you saying that you deployed a multisig wallet 226 days ago on 25/09/2015? I browsed through the history of the wallet source code at github.com/ethereum/dapp-bin/commits/master/wallet and the source code looks too large for your compiled code in the blockchain. – Bokky WeAreAllAssange PooBah May 8 '16 at 23:26
  • Yes. That was right after release. And I am pretty sure that I used Mist's contracts as those time I didn't understand Solidity at all :-) – 21xhipster May 10 '16 at 6:52
  • The solution provided by @destenson is correct. The code at your address is a stub that calls the multisig contract at [etherscan.io/address/…. – Bokky WeAreAllAssange PooBah Jan 27 '17 at 23:43

The contract you're looking at is a stub. If you look at the contract's code and select Switch to Opcodes View, you can see it references another contract at 0x273930d21e01ee25e4c219b63259d214872220a2 with source code and abi published.

I just had the same issue. The contract code you linked above is outdated.

If you navigate to the repository of the meteor-dapp-wallet you will find the updated Wallet.sol:
