Everything 'seems' to work except for transfer()? I can't send the tokens for some reason. I'm not sure why. Any advice?

In StandarToken has declared

mapping (address => uint256) balances;
mapping (address => mapping (address => uint256)) allowed;

But your contract Token1 which inherits from StandardToken has this

/* This creates an array with all balances */
mapping (address => uint256) public balanceOf;
mapping (address => mapping (address => uint256)) public allowance;

Also you have SafeMath declared but never use it.

  • Do I need both? I was confused I don't know if I need both? Can I have the function in standard token and not listed at all in my token? – Zach Jul 15 '17 at 4:47
  • No, you only need one. It is happening transfer use the first one, and some of the others will use the second. So you end up manipulating different data. – Ismael Jul 15 '17 at 4:55
