I sent 1BTC from my Blockchain wallet to Myetherwallet for a Swap. The swap transaction took almost 30 mins to process but i did not wait to check if the transaction finally completed and logged out of my wallet. Later i checked and found that 1 BTC was sent out from my Blockchain wallet but i never received it in myetherwallet. I forgot to note the Transaction Reference number in MEW and now i do not know what to do. I did send an email to Myetherwallet team but i did not get any response from them. It's been almost 13 hours now and i am yet to see any ETH in Myetherwallet account. Kindly help as to how i can retrieve my BTC or ETH.

  • If you have used the bity.com service from the MEW site you should contact both support at bity.com and support at myetherwallet.com. I'd guess with the Ethereum address and the Bitcoin address used to send bitcoins, can be used to narrow your operation. If they didn't deliver the ethers then they should be able to return your btc. – Ismael Jul 21 '17 at 5:56

Maybe I misunderstand your question, but I'm not aware that MEW supports bitcoin or works as a Bitcoin->Ethereum exchange.

If you send Bitcoin to a MEW wallet, it really should be rejected, but if it's not rejected, it's gone.

If you want to exchange Bitcoin for Ethereum, you have to use something like Coinbase or Gemini or Bittrex.

  • They have bity.com to provide swap between Ethereum and Bitcoin. – Ismael Jul 21 '17 at 5:43
