Is it possible to run a modified geth that just logs data of the new block and doesn't store any blockchain data in database?

Yes, it should be possible. The problem is that you won't be sure what is the last valid block.– Ismael ♦Feb 21, 2023 at 21:31

@Ismael Where or which function should I start to remove the database storage functionality?– Huy Duan TranFeb 22, 2023 at 5:09

Probably the best approach is to catch the blocks at the p2p level before they propagate. You have to catch the blocks before Process in github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/blob/master/core/….– Ismael ♦Feb 23, 2023 at 3:28
