Can someone please show me how to do the equivalent of web3.eth.Contract.methods.someGetterMethod().call(); solely with web3.js and an account created with web3.js.
What confuses me is that I don't know if calling a getter function requires signing or not, I couldn't find any clear examples online. And if no signing is necessary then how do you prevent users from pretending to be owners to access onlyOwner getter methods?
