In computer-generated-arts, can you authenticate the generating process or algorithm with a NFT, or only the resulting "work of arts" ?

More generally, is it possible to authenticate a process or an algorithm with a NFT ? A kind of "patent" for a process which would be assigned to its creator and could be sold on some marketplace.

From there, does such a marketplace already exist ?

  • NFTs are used to store ownership of an id on the blockchain. The meaning of such id, and how it relates to tangible things is left to human interpretation. There are projects that use them to represent stocks, real state, artwork, games assets, so it could be use to represent ownership of an algorithm. How it will held in court is a completely different subject.
