Solc --version: command not found

I'm trying to use solc with no success. I

I download solc with - npm install solc -npm install solc but when I run solc --versionsolc --version the console output meis: command not found.

command not found.

If iI list packages - npm list -npm list I'm able to see [email protected][email protected].

What's wrong?
